Arts and Science
At Willow Lake we make sure that all of our campers have the opportunity to get creative. Campers bring their imaginations, and we supply the raw materials. The result is a beautiful basket or a delicious dish or a fabulous musical.
We also make use of our natural setting to provide campers with opportunities to interact with and learn more about nature. Campers can fish in the lake just for fun or get to know the animals that live at camp.
The following is a list of opportunities offered to campers:
- Ceramics (our ceramics studio has two kilns and several potter’s wheels!)
- Arts and Crafts
- Basketry
- Textiles, Leatherwork and Weaving
- Cooking
- Creative Movement
- Performing arts, from a musical review performed by our smallest campers to improvisational theater, full-scale musical productions and more, and we have an indoor and an outdoor theater
- Nature program that introduces campers to rabbits, guinea pigs, baby chicks, frogs, turtles and a goat or lamb or two
- Science program
