Water Sports
All our campers swim twice a day in any of our four, heated swimming pools. At Willow Lake we provide swim instruction as well as opportunities for recreational swimming. Our swimmers enjoy water slides, water games, social swimming and diving. The Willow Lake swim team meets several times during the summer with other camps to test swimming skills in a friendly environment.
Our camp also makes use of two lakes, one on our property and the other just across from the camp, for boating activities.
Our aquatics program includes:
- Four pools – two Olympic-sized pools, a shallow teaching pool for young campers, and a deep pool in another area of the camp designed for water polo and other games. All four pools are heated!
- Two exciting water slides.
- An outstanding instructional swim program leading through the six different skill levels of the American Red Cross program and free swim every day, too.
- Boating on two lakes. Campers enjoy paddleboats, small kayaks, canoes and even fishing off the fishing dock on our own private lake. Campers in 4th grade and up learn to kayak along the protected inlets of Lake Hopatcong. Campers in 1st grade and up get a kick out of hydro-tubing on the lake, while Kindergarten and Nursery enjoy a great ride in the pontoon boats.
