Bunk Life

Friendships at Willow Lake aren't just for the summer – they're for life. Discovery, growth, and the BEST. SUMMER. EVER. all start right here in the bunk.
More Than a Group – It’s a Family
We believe the group is one of the most important parts of the camp experience. It’s where shy campers find their voice, where athletes learn leadership, and where every child discovers they are part of something bigger than themselves. A day at Willow Lake is a whirlwind of fun, but the bunk provides the heartbeat of the routine.
Intentional Grouping by Grade
Campers are grouped by the grade they are entering in the fall, ensuring social dynamics are age-appropriate and developmental milestones are met together.
The Power of Consistency
Groups stay together throughout the day – they eat together, swim together, and enjoy activities together. This creates a safety net that allows campers to take healthy risks and be exactly who they are.

Staffing that Supports
Leading by example! With a mix of mature adult Unit Leaders and energetic Counselors, there is always a hand to hold or a cheerleader to lead the way.
Modern Comfort, Rustic Charm
Forget what you think you know about "roughing it." Our bunks are designed to be the perfect escape – bright, clean, and welcoming.

Beautiful Bunks
Our bunks feature beautiful knotty cedar and pine walls and soft carpeting, creating a cozy, "sleep-away" feel right here at day camp.

Individual Spaces
Every camper has their own dedicated cubby area. It’s their home base to store their backpack, sunscreen, bathing suit, and towel.

Cool & Collected
Many of our bunks are climate-controlled, providing a perfect place to recharge between high-energy activities.

Cleanliness First
You’ll find clean, updated, and modern restrooms throughout the campus, with many bunks featuring private bathrooms for easy access.

We know that coming to camp with a buddy can make the first day even more exciting. On your enrollment form, you can request up to two friends. While we prioritize making sure groups are balanced and inclusive, we do our very best to honor these requests whenever space is available.
Camp is made for making friends! Many of our campers come to camp not knowing anybody and make friends after their first day at camp.
A typical group has 15-17 campers. Our Pre-K groups are coed and the remainder of camp groups are single sex. Each group and unit consists of campers going into the same grade in the fall.
